A neutral scheme can often fall flat. So, how do you add interest within a neutral space?
Clients often want neutral color palettes to create calming, cohesive spaces and avoid color-clashing in their homes. A neutral space can be beautiful but can frequently fall flat. To add interest while maintaining a neutral palette, consider these three tips!
Introduce reflective surfaces.
Mirrors, glass furniture, and metallic accents like polished nickel or antique brass can add depth, light, and dimension to a space. They make the room feel more dynamic and open, especially in smaller areas.

Incorporate different textures within details.
Mix soft textures like linen and velvet with harder ones like leather, wood, metal or glass to create a rich, layered feel. For example, a velvet cushion on a linen sofa, or a glass coffee table in a room with a wood floor, can make the space more tactile and interesting. Details like these leather pulls on this built-in can make all the difference.

Layer with natural elements.
Bring in natural textures through plants, wood, or stone. A large indoor plant, a stone accent piece, or wood beams can bring warmth and life while staying true to a neutral color palette.
