A neutral scheme can often fall flat. So, how do you add interest within a neutral space?

Clients often want neutral color palettes to create calming, cohesive spaces and avoid color-clashing in their homes. A neutral space can be beautiful but can frequently fall flat. To add interest while maintaining a neutral palette, consider these three tips!

Introduce reflective surfaces: 

Mirrors, glass furniture, and metallic accents like polished nickel or antique brass can add depth, light, and dimension to a space. They make the room feel more dynamic and open, especially in smaller areas.

Incorporate different textures within details:

Mix soft textures like linen and velvet with harder ones like leather, wood, metal or glass to create a rich, layered feel. For example, a velvet cushion on a linen sofa, or a glass coffee table in a room with a wood floor, can make the space more tactile and interesting. Layer with natural elements: 

Bring in natural textures through plants, wood, or stone. A large indoor plant, a stone accent piece, or wood beams can bring warmth and life while staying true to a neutral color palette.
