Within this service we’re also able to offer alternate configurations of bathrooms, kitchens, and closets.

The home and contracting landscape is always evolving and we are here to help you navigate this every step of the way. Understanding real numbers is important in any home project and the Lex & Hudson team always guides you through the possibilities of your space and minimum budgets for each. Your investment in your home is very important to respect and we provide you with budgets and a shared spreadsheet to maintain a transparent and straightforward interior design action plan.
Contractor and Trade referrals and coordination
Any size renovation of your Brooklyn brownstone, townhome, or apartment requires a great team. Our experience has led our team to work with some of the best architects, contractors and trades in Brooklyn and the greater New York area. We can refer them to you and always coordinate the team for a seamless design implementation with our site-specific ideas, detailed drawings and material selections. We support our clients and the construction team throughout the process to ensure clear communication and adequate deadlines and details. Sometimes you just need your floors redone, a new vanity, furnishings, and a fresh coat of paint. The Lex & Hudson team has a list of trusted trades and craftsmen to help you achieve any of your interior design goals and will lead the design implementation, advising on site-specific recommendations and coordinating along the way. Other times you may need a contractor with a full construction team to get the results you’re after. We help you vet, coordinate and problem solve within these relationships, guiding and collaborating along the way.
Kitchen and Bathroom Design
With careful consideration of our clients’ habits, preferences, and needs, we design kitchens and bathrooms with detailed drawings and renderings. We love to help our clients visualize their homes potential and understand the complete concept before committing. Integral to the process is the education we provide our clients about the newest kitchen technologies, cabinet faces, finishes, drains, natural stones, etc. so our clients are able to make the most informed decisions possible.
Furnishing
With our fine-tuned knowledge of color, material and finishes we work with clients to recommend pieces for the home that meet their aesthetic preferences. We take clients to showrooms and show clients samples so they can understand how the colors and materials work together in order to make the most considered decisions possible. Clients’ comfort is a key when considering the interior design of their space.
Procurement
At this point in our process, we are ready to purchase the pieces to make your home match your needs and aesthetics. Depending on our clients’ needs and preferences, we ship directly to a receiver or directly to our clients’ home in a piecemeal fashion for a more gradual transformation. We coordinate shipping for all our interior design clients.
Installation
Once a date is scheduled our team is able to coordinate the delivery of all the furnishings and fixtures into the space, get painters or wallpaper installers in order to complete the vision as well as place accessories into the space for a finished and polished look. This is an important step for our clients as set up the space for optimal impact and beauty. This is the best part for us and our clients alike!
