A Victorian era wallpaper designed by William Morris was the launching point for our client’s three-story Brooklyn Victorian home—setting a sophisticated tone for the project. To juxtapose the period-appropriate wallpaper our clients fell in love with, we furnished the 200-year-old home with sculptural lighting and modern furnishings featuring textural upholstery and masculine, organic finishes. Our team reworked the floor plan to accommodate two adjacent living spaces, one anchored by a custom contemporary fireplace and the other with carefully curated objects on open shelving. In addition, we designed more than 20 linear feet of built-ins as well as an innovative kitchen island on castors for daily flexibility and entertaining.
